IPSC: Having close cultural and language relations with Turkey, Iraqi Turks or Turkish Iraqis have resided in north of the country. Turkmans are the third ethnics in Iraq after Arabs and Kurds. Land of Turkmans’ geography prolongs Hakari and Sirt borderlines. Tale’afer city is the northern land where Turkmans live. In Kurdistan Region, together with Kurds, live other minorities such as Ashuri, Kaldani and Armani (eds) and Turkmans that could achieve some part of minorities’ 11 seat in the Parliament at recent election. To review of role of Turkmans in Iraq we interviewed with Mr. Nazm Dabbagh, The representative of Iraqi Kurds in Iran.

Nazam Dabbagh believed that Lake of protection for collapsing of Assad Regime was the cause of terrorist attack to Erbil. In his view, some groups like al_Qaeda and Islamic State of Iraq and Sham, after dominating some parts of Syria, are looking to make insecurity in the whole region and choose Erbil. They fought to security entities that their responsibilities are making the security and safety.

Salahaddin, Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRP.org) - In a meeting with a number of Iraqi and Arab journalists in Salahaddin today, President Barzani reaffirmed Kurdistan Region’s position towards the current debate about new legislation for the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections by stating that the Region believes a single electoral district for the whole country would better serve the principles of democracy and fairness in Iraq.

Kuwait city, Kuwait (KRP.org)- After arriving in Kuwait today, Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani met with the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in Kuwait City.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani kicked off the nearly $3 billion “Downtown Erbil” project on Sunday, calling the venture that is estimated to create 35,000 jobs and transform the face of the Kurdish capital, “a milestone for the Kurdistan Region.”
